2-step process to developing an organic SEO Strategy

Getting traffic to your company's website can feel as impossible as getting a business grant for your retail store. But sometimes just dropping a few crumbs on the ground won't attract any ants. You have to give the whole chip.

 

Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is the science behind getting visitors to your site, but there is no formula for its success - it's an art.

 

If we Google the technical definition of SEO, we'll find an answer like “the process of maximizing the number of visitors to a particular website by ensuring that the site appears high on the list of results returned by a search engine.”

 

Out of all of that, the only important word to take note of is "process." SEO is a process that never ends. Developing an organic SEO strategy = time + more time + content + more content. And I'm not talking about your time, I'm talking about the search engines' time. They'll need to see your credibility through longevity and consistency. So, don't give up.

 

The art is understanding and creating a common theme that uses consistent keywords or buzzwords in your industry that will establish your company or brand as an expert or thought-leader.

 

So yea, that's the first step to developing your SEO Strategy - Understand and Create a common and consistent Theme, Buzzword(s), Keyword(s).

 

The second step is to connect the theme with your content - usually centered around the scope/mission of the company. Company Mission + Common Theme = Content.

 

It's also important to note what search engines like, right? I mean we can't just start yelling at people and they speak another language. When we understand what the search engines like, they'll give us a rank, and then improve our ranking. So here are a few things to consider:

  1. Quality Content

  2. Crawl-Ability

  3. Strong Title Tags

  4. Quality Links

  5. Social Reputation

  6. Trusted brand

 

An effective organic SEO Strategy takes time and consistency. That's why a lot of companies have just said to-heck with it and have forked over the money for search engines to rank them as advertisements. The search engines operate on science and dollars, but your customers will appreciate the art and bring you the greenbacks.
